When Arella DuBois started receiving harassing phone calls, she blew them off at first. When they continued after she changed her phone number several times she started to get worried. She wasn’t sure what to do. After a long day at work listening to other people’s problems all she wanted to do was go home, put on some comfy jammies and curl up with her stuffed sloth, Herbert and listen to some cartoons while she read her favorite books. Books about Daddies and the little girls they loved. All she’d ever wanted was a Daddy of her own. Someone to take over and be strong for her.
When she’d met Ryker Moore at the home of one of her clients she wondered if he could be the Daddy she was looking for. Due to both their occupations, they’d only been able to see each other a few times.
Then one night when Ari was driving home she was in a car accident. Ryker was one of the responding officers. With a broken ankle from the accident, Ari was unable to stay in her home. Ryker volunteered to help her by letting her stay with him.
During her recovery, she and Ryker realized how much they meant to each other. Ari began to learn what a caring Daddy could do for her.
Bill Woods was a co-worker of Arella’s and started causing problems. When Bill was caught and jailed the problems continued. Could Ryker and his friends figure out who was harassing Ari and put a stop to it before she got hurt again?
